Changing It Up

I used to be one of those people who moved all the furniture around every three to six months, until I found the ideal setup that felt “right”.  Later in life, that same theory came into play with purses.  I purchased a new one every season, because I never could find one that did everything I wanted.  Oh, and then there’s my notebook fetish…I’m always in search of the perfect journal-size notebook to keep notes and such, and larger notebook for my writing.

These days, I relegate my room-changing itch to my office.  Not that I feel the need in the main living area–we made thoughtful choices on where we put every piece of furniture.  It’s comfortable, welcoming, and it feels right.

A couple of years ago a friend showed me what became my ideal purse.  Well, that and it’s bigger sister.  I have a good selection between the two sizes, and I really don’t feel the need to get another one.  They work perfectly for what I need them to do.  Life is pretty darn good in that area.

And I’ve even found the perfect fit for me for notebooks–something that allows me the flexibility I want, with the ability to change it up if I need to.  Finding this new system of notebooks has help me to radically organize my work life at the day job, where I carry my office on my back as I travel between locations.  And they are working out just as well for my personal writing projects.

So, why am I talking about changing it up?

As you can see, I changed the theme for my blog again.  I don’t know if it will stay that way.  I wanted something new and different.  This fit the bill, for now.  If I don’t like it, I’ll move on to another or return to the theme I had before.  In any case, it’s spring, so time to clean things up a bit, huh?

  1. Girrrl…I do the same thing. Although, I don’t do the furniture thing anymore — did that for years — it’s one way I ended up with a back problem. But the purses and notebooks and pens and…well…you get the idea 🙂
