No writing today. Instead, I finished deep-cleaning the house in preparation for having some new friends over for dinner. I really enjoyed meeting them. We seem to have a lot of interests in common, and hope to see them again. They were very sweet and funny, and make a lovely couple. It’s nice to spend time with people who are clearly happy together.
The husband outdid himself cooking a tasting menu of 6 courses plus dessert. Ambitious? Yes! Everything was outstanding, and there’s leftovers of a few things, so I get to enjoy them again tomorrow. Score!
